For a working life, each person has different flows of work inspiration. Someone creates their own inspiration from simple things in their lives such as travelling, reading and so on. Whenever we feel happy to work, we will work with it happily. On the other hand, if we thought that our jobs were just our daily routine; we would fail and did not succeed. Thus, to have flexibility in living life can enhance independent thinking. It is not only at working time that you do thing for your work. Work inspiration can be occurred at any time of the day. .
As for Khun Aoo Prisatorn Sakoonthai, a young Design Director of PIA Interior Company Limited, he comes up with an inspiration to have his non-stop thinking driven. This inspiration is born from working and living with distinctively interesting lifestyle. After reading his story, you may possibly fall in love with this young man like the writer does. Because of being a designer and having been associated with Designer Circle about 15 years, designing eventually becomes a part of his life. Khun Aoo says: “Designing work is a part of my daily life. It is a culture and lifestyle of mine. I can think of new ideas for my work anytime and anywhere, not only at my office. I try to tell my younger colleagues to be disciplined; and they can work wherever they want. I think that life should not be limited inside the frame; ideas for works are not to be always created at office time. You can create the ideas anytime, even while you are travelling. Start doing it and you will find new inspirations to work. As long as you do not feel tired of working, you can start doing it anytime”.

The Sofitel So Bangkok, the Muse, the Okura Prestige and the Park Venture are all examples of noble designs of his. Apart from these hotels, the places to hang out by HOBS are rebranded by this young handsome man into a new brand, as well as the Greyhound Café at Siam Center. Recently, Khun Aoo has just shown hdesign work for the Ananda Development Public Company Limited, an affiliated company of ASHTON Condominium, together with Khun Chanon Rueangkritaya, a chair director and managing director of the Ananda. In addition, he also works to take care of the overall works of designing; including, maintenance work, directions of the organization as well as marketing.

Without any fixed rules of his designing characteristics, a young man in his surrealistic character continues telling us about her work with his smile. “What I like most is that no one knows that the work was designed by me. I don’t want to have a stereotype signature to identify that this must be my design. However, what is called success for me is to make my customers happy. I can completely complete their needs though no one knows that it is my design. The most important thing is to create attractive products. It is not to have people come and go without feeling interested in it. I want to have my design strike their eyes and make them want to know who designs it. This is all about my character. I do have some design works someone is familiar with. However, when I design another pieces of works; many people asked me whether I design that type of product too. I think it is charming for me. This is what I want to be. I do not shut the door for those who are looking for their own style and trying to do anything on their own. I think that not to have too strong identity is good for design works because we will be able to create new things all the time.”
In addition, Khun Aoo is also having another project in Haikou, Hainan province of China too. For this project, he is working with Hainan Airline. He continues telling us about his work. “When we work, we have to understand our customers’ natures. Most of these customers are soldiers, so they have a lot of landmarks. For example they have an airport and their private airplanes. They have a lot of projects to be developed, and I have an opportunity to develop the hotel of the InterCon brand. For this project, I have to work closely with the cultures of the local place; including, the origin of cultures. This is the inspiration that lighten up my design works. When we change the working place, the contexts of surroundings will also change. We will learn new cultures along with charming of design works. I am also taking care of and working for the hotels under the brand of Taj in India, too.”
Khun Aoo, also tells us about his inspiration that he simply creates for his own. “I do not like to read book that much; I occasionally read only what I want to read. I like reading short articles of both famous and infamous writers. There are a lot of expressions to make me think, they inspire me to continue to think creatively for n works. I was struck with an expression in a pocketbook. “ To create products for your customers to buy is not just to force them to buy your products, it is a matter of giving them a chance to inform what they like. It is not to present but it is to listen to your customers.” This short text from my reading has somehow inspired doing my creative works.
Although it was just a short time that we talked with this young man; he completely makes me feel interested not only in his handsomeness, but also in his ideas, visions and lifestyle which are very distinctive. Before our leaving, he reminds young generations who are searching for the style of their own to work in teams because teamwork is the most important for doing business. In addition, not to pay attention on only one thing, try to look around and consider many aspects of matters. For example, an interior designer needs to get to know some; a graphic designer needs to get to know someadvertisement producers. Moreover, it is needed to build up a network and a mindset of not to limit the idea under the framework of one’s perspective. We should try to open our mind to learn and accept other’s opinions. If we stick on only our own identity, we may not be able to add up new things.
